WHY WE LOVE THIS WINE:
A fantastic expression of Northeast Victorain Shiraz, leaning more toward plum notes and deep reddish colour. Enjoy with beef, lamb, cheese, though it won’t overpower a pizza either.
WINEMAKER / TASTING NOTES:
Richly flavoured with spicy plum, dark fruits and smooth vanilla and chocolate from oak maturation the fine structural tannins give it great length on the finish. This Rutherglen Shiraz is a dry red wine that would perfectly match grilled red meats or earthier dishes such as gourmet sausages or a duck risotto. The blend is quite versatile and would also suit rich tomato based pasta dishes. While drinking beautifully on release, this Australian Shiraz will benefit from medium term cellaring of three to five years.
